BROCKTON – Kevin Stevens was still for a moment.
He looked left, he looked right. He looked down at the ground.
He was trying to figure out a way to tell his story – his long, complicated, often harrowing story – to a couple dozen teenagers at Brockton High School.
Most of them didn’t know his hockey career: his dramatic rise from the South Shore to Boston College to the highest of highs in the NHL. Most of them didn’t know his fall from grace: the drugs, the pills, the pain, the FBI raid.
