Outpatient Treatment

Leesburg Treatment Services serves individuals struggling with addiction to opioids alcohol, opiates, and other substances with compassion and grace. Our full continuum of care, including ASAM 3.1 Clinically Managed Low Intensity Residential service, ASAM 2.5 Partial Hospitalization (PHP) treatment, ASAM 2.1 Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP), and ASAM 1.0 General Outpatient Treatment (OP), and licensed case management services employ traditional and innovative evidence-based practices.

Clients receive personalized treatment plans that incorporate individual, family, and group counseling. Evidence-based therapies include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Somatic Experiencing.

Relapse prevention, anger management, grief/loss therapy, life skills, and meditation groups, provide the support needed for long-term recovery from substance misuse or addiction.

Addiction treatment centers offer various programs for the treatment of substance use disorders (SUDs) and alcohol use disorders (AUDs). One of these programs is the partial hospitalization program or PHP. In this treatment program, participants attend treatment during the day and are able to sleep in the comfort of their own homes. PHPs’ level of care is one step down from residential treatment programs. This type of program in addiction treatment is best suited for individuals who need the intensity, schedule, and rigor of an inpatient program but are unable or unwilling to live at the center during treatment. PHPs provide a full day of evidence-based therapy which may include individual, group, and family therapies. In addition, clients may take part in 12-step meetings and addiction education classes. The main difference is that PHPs allow you to go home in the evenings and attend to your responsibilities whether they be family, work, or school. Our PHP program in Richmond, aims to provide the highest quality clinical care in a supportive, healing environment. Our caring and experienced staff create customized treatment plans each tailored to meet the individual and unique recovery needs of our clients in our PHP. As you progress through treatment and healing, our staff monitors your progress. As milestones are met treatment goals may be adjusted. This helps to provide the most comprehensive treatment in order to help you have the best chance for long-term recovery. Therapy includes cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical-behavioral therapy (DBT), motivational-enhancement therapy (MET), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and psychoeducational programming. At Leesburg Treatment Services, group therapy may include women’s groups, men’s groups, relapse prevention groups, trauma groups, grief/loss groups, process groups, dual diagnosis groups, and more. Holistic optional supports can include yoga, mindfulness, meditation, and exercise. Participants may also have the option to engage in expressive therapies such as music and art. In addition, we offer medication-assisted treatment (MAT) which includes buprenorphine (Suboxone). The length of treatment varies by each individual’s needs but is determined by your biopsychosocial assessment, the input of your primary therapist and clinical staff, as well as the progress you make during your PHP at Pinnacle. At Leesburg Treatment Services, we understand how important it is to prepare you for life after PHP. While in treatment our clients may take part in community groups like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), SMART Recovery, Refuge Recovery, and alumni groups.
