Outpatient Treatment

We offer an outpatient opioid treatment program where we hope to make you feel comfortable so we can work together on overcoming your addiction. We provide medication-assisted treatment through methadone and buprenorphine (Suboxone) as well as individual and group counseling services. We hope to make each of our clients realize their full potential and see themselves for the people they are rather than the disease they suffer from.

An easy drive from both Pottsville and Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, our Hazleton buprenorphine (Suboxone) clinic is conveniently located off I-81 surrounded by retail stores and restaurants in the Hazleton Shopping Center. We are proud to be licensed by Pennsylvania’s DDAP (Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs).

Residents of Luzerne County who are addicted to opioids such as heroin and fentanyl have successfully recovered at our outpatient treatment center using a combination of medication-assisted therapy, such as methadone, buprenorphine and Vivitrol, group therapy and individual modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and relapse prevention. 

While traditional opioid addiction treatment required complete detoxification from substances prior to the start of psychotherapy, group sessions and 12-step meetings, emerging research shows that use of medication to manage uncomfortable withdrawal and craving symptoms allows the client to more effectively focus on recovery and lasting sobriety.

Because we have a medical doctor on-staff, Hazleton Treatment Services is able to safely treat pregnant women. We are a bilingual facility and proudly serve Spanish-speaking methadone clients from Hazleton, Tamaqua and surrounding areas.

Upon acceptance into our program, our clients experience a comprehensive evaluation resulting in effective individual treatment plans. Our location and convenient schedule allow residents of northeastern Pennsylvania to recover from drug addiction while continuing to meet family, employment and school responsibilities no matter where they may occur. 

Hazleton Treatment Services proudly accepts Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield and a variety of other private and government insurance policies for outpatient drug rehab and medication-assisted opioid addiction treatment.
