Daviess Treatment Services provides medication-assisted treatment for opiate addiction. In addition to maintenance medication, our clinic provides individual counseling, nursing support, medical oversight, group meetings, and referrals to community resources to help patients meet their needs throughout the recovery process.
This place has helped me so much. I started at a methadone clinic on 2/18/17 in Louisville and transferred down to this one. It has saved my life. I am an addict of twenty-three years and with methadone maintenance I have been clean and sober since I first walked through the doors. The staff is helpful and the nurses are amazing. Thank you God for places like this. They saved my life and in sure countless others.

We are proud to provide first-class care to the citizens of Owensboro addicted to opioids like heroin and fentanyl. The opioid epidemic has hit Kentucky hard, and our young people have been especially affected.
Medication-assisted treatment for opioid addiction takes a hybrid approach to recovery. Clients first stop using heroin, fentanyl and other prescription pain meds by substituting methadone or Suboxone. Once the client’s withdrawal or cravings are under control, they embark on a course of maintenance doses and shift focus to addressing the underlying factors that contributed to the addiction. This two-pronged approach to treatment has shown to be the most effective way to combat opioid addiction.
Our facility is located in a business district, surrounded by shops and restaurants, and is easily accessible via US 60; clients that drive will find abundant parking. As an added convenience, potential clients who are interested in Suboxone treatment may participate in a virtual intake session to avoid a trip to the clinic. Each potential client undergoes a thorough evaluation process with a drug and alcohol counselor to determine the appropriate starting combination of medication and counseling; progress is reviewed on an ongoing basis, with goals and treatment modalities adjusted accordingly.
Our drug addiction treatment professionals also play an important role in successful outcomes. Depending on the treatment plan, clients in our program may be expected to attend individual, group and/or family sessions, either in person in Owensboro or via phone (when offered). Recent offerings include educational classes on substance use disorders, motivational interviewing and relapse prevention.
