HealthQwest – Douglasville is an Outpatient Narcotic Treatment Program that treats patients with Opioid Use Disorder. We provide General Outpatient (IOP) and Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) with methadone, buprenorphine/Suboxone, and Vivitrol coupled with one-on-one, individualized counseling from our Certified Addiction Counselors. Our clinic looks forward to helping serve our community to make Douglas County a healthier, happier place.

    HealthQwest LLC Douglasville is an outpatient drug treatment center for adults who are addicted to narcotics such as opioids and prescription pain medication. HealthQwest combines medication-assisted treatment and individual counseling to help clients recover from opioid addiction. We are licensed by the Georgia Department of Community Health.

    Our Douglasville Suboxone clinic is west of Atlanta in a thriving and growing suburb, the seat of Douglas County and part of the Atlanta Metro Area. Interstate 20 runs through the heart of Douglasville and we can be found off the Highway 92 exit. Our central Douglas County location is also convenient to drug rehab clients from Kellogg and Lithia Springs.

    Douglasville, Georgia, a charming city in the Atlanta metropolitan area, is home to the Douglas County Cultural Arts Center, Sweetwater Creek State Park, Gumbeaux’s Cajun Cafe, and Six Flags Over Georgia.

    We have a medical doctor on staff and our proximity to Wellstart Douglas Hospital, a short drive down Interstate 20, assures quick access to medical staff should a patient require assistance. For clients who do not drive, Douglasville can be reached by the Douglas County fixed route bus service and the Xpress Bus from Atlanta.

    In order to ensure that our methadone program is a good match for each prospective HealthQwest Douglasville patient, he or she starts with an evaluation process so that an individualized treatment plan can be tailored to that patient’s specific needs. This process helps our drug and alcohol counselors and addiction therapists choose the combination of medication and therapy that will maximize the patient’s chance of success.

    Treating heroin and prescription pain pill addiction using both withdrawal-reducing medication and traditional therapy typically offers a more sustained recovery than using either type of treatment alone. Once detox and withdrawal symptoms are managed with the correct dose of methadone or buprenorphine, the patient can shift focus to understanding and managing the underlying causes of the addiction. Our drug and alcohol counselors offer a variety of sessions including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and relapse prevention. Some sessions may be conducted via tele-counseling.
