Aegis outpatient programs allow you to break free from opioid addiction while maintaining your commitments to work, school, and family. Our flexible treatment allows you to integrate recovery into daily life through our core treatment services.

Clinical and Medical Assessment: Evaluates your physical and mental health, as well as your history of substance abuse, in order to build out a balanced and comprehensive treatment plan.

What to Expect

When you first arrive at our facility in Hesperia, CA, you’ll meet with a counselor who will evaluate your condition and work with you to develop a treatment plan. Once our assessment is complete, a typical day in an outpatient program may involve:

If not for the staff , counseling and support from this place , I'd be dead today! This place has taught me important tools for coping as well as daily life skills which I was lacking as an addict of many years . There are not enough good things I could say about this place. A necessary evil if you will ? While there is a “stigma” associated with methadone and its overall effects on the body . I’m still on the road to recovery and living a healthy lifestyle. I recommend this place to anyone with an opiate addiction . After 8 yrs now. I’m proud to be drug free and my life now has vastly improved from the day I first walked in . I lost near everything I had . Now I’ve gained more than I could ever dream. One piece of advice. Follow the rules. Be courteous to the staff. Take your time and find the right counselor for yourself. Be honest , be real and be yourself ! Congrats on the beginning of the rest of your life !

Fantastic staff! Everyone goes above & beyond to make sure you feel welcomed, important & attended to. They take the time to get to know you and greet you by name daily. Richard is great counselor, very attentive, incredibly kind and compassionate about what he does. He takes the time to understand your needs, listen to you, let you vent, offer any resources he may have access to & if not he'll do his best to get the info for you. He's encouraging and supportive as well which is absolutely necessary within this industry. Overall I'm completely satisfied with the treatment provided by Aegis & even moreso with the staff!

There is always room for improvement in any business. The difference comes if the business makes changes for the better on thier own. To me Aegis has always stood above the rest. If you want recovery and not just another place to score, Aegis is the place to be. Iam not saying I don't get frustrated but I expect that because Iam an addict and there are rules. I have been going to Aegis for years. And if I hadn't had such a positive experience, I would not have told my then-friend, now-fiance to sign up(almost 2 years ago now). When she did, we found out she was pregnant. We were terrified.! But Aegis reassured us that they could help and they did. I have been a client at Aegis Medical since about 1992. I am a recovered addict, and I owe a large part of my recovery to the Aegis clinic, the staff, and methadone maintenance. When I was tired of the life, tired of prison, and tired of the hustle, trying to raise my family and begin a new life, it was God and the methadone clinic that saved my life. I am completely convinced that if Aegis had not been open to me out in the high desert, I would be in prison or worse... dead. The staff at Aegis have always been kind, understanding and helpful. They do not judge, they are there to listen and to guide. I have been drug free for many, many years now, and I can honestly say that methadone, and the Aegis Medical clinic, get much of the credit for this. I hope that anyone who might be in the place I was at those many years ago, reads this and gives Aegis a call. It might change your life.

Always happy and satisfied expect one time coupe of years back I was out of state becouse of my job did not receive my take home and after 4 days with no medication went to emergency hospital they prescribe small amount of morphin wehen I came back to california Aegis canceled all my take home(2 weeks ) and start me up from zero with having all my hospil papers after that haven't experienced any bad treatment and I am very happy.

I made an appointment and got my medication the same day. the process took a couple of hours and insurance paid for everything. They also helped me get a ride from and to the center with lyft all for free. This took a couple of hours but 100% worth it. The staff was very nice you just have to be patient and have all the necessary documents be honest and do their drug test. This is a god send and i hope to continue the program. Update (12-29-23) I had a great experience with everything from wait time to the positivity of the doctors and the dispensing of the medication is great!! They are so nice and really care about helping you with no judgement. This place is a godsend to those in need of this help and great medication. They take care of everything including my rides from and to the location I wish this place had better advertising for their great services.

I am just slightly disappointed. The initial intake process was ridiculously long. Aside from that, the staff were very helpful and compassionate. I was so glad I finally got help. After receiving my first treatment dose, I asked on 3 separate occasions on 2 different days, just to be sure. What times can I come to medicate. By 3 different staff members I was told anytime, between 7am-5pm. Still getting acclimated to the medication, I over slept Saturday and went in to dose at 11am. They were closed. And let’s just say It was a long night. You see my frustration. Especially just being in the previous day and meeting with my counselor. No one thought to mention this. Anyway, aside from this not so small issue, I believe this is a good place and the people I have encounter so far, seem to be compassionate and care.
