Recovery Works Merrillville provides medically supervised detox, residential treatment, intensive outpatient services (IOP), and PHP with housing for men and women struggling with substance use disorders.

Medication-assisted treatment, if needed, includes buprenorphine (Suboxone), Gabapentin, Vivitrol, and more. You’ll receive a custom treatment plan based on your specific needs consisting of individual, family, and group therapy in addition to medication management, pain management, anger management, and grief and loss therapy. Evidence-based therapies include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). You will also receive relapse prevention, nutritional counseling, life skills training, and art therapy. To support long-term recovery, we also offer 12-step meetings, SMART Recovery, and free alumni meetings.

Recovery Works Merrillville is pleased to offer our Intensive Outpatient Program in our expanded outpatient building. Currently, we have a hybrid program that is offered in-person or virtually. Treatment services include individualized treatment plans, individual counseling, group counseling, psychoeducational programming, and 12-Step integration. Treatment methods may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and other evidence-based practices. We accept and support patients undergoing medication-assisted treatment (MAT) elsewhere, including methadone, buprenorphine (Suboxone), and Vivitrol.
