Pennsville Treatment Services is an outpatient drug addiction treatment center for people who are abusing opioids such as heroin and prescription pain medication. We are licensed to provide methadone or buprenorphine-backed medication-assisted treatment (MAT) by the New Jersey Department of Health. We offer both regular outpatient and intensive outpatient (IOP) programs.

Pennsville, named for William Penn, lies in the westernmost part of New Jersey, across the Delaware River from Wilmington. Our Salem County methadone clinic is minutes from Route 295 and the NJ Turnpike, which connects Woodbury and Logan Township to Delaware. South Broadway is an area of mixed use with both retail stores and businesses. Our building is shared by other medical offices, and clients who drive will find plenty of parking. We are also accessible via NJ Transit bus route 402, with service to Philadelphia.

Our drug and alcohol counselors understand that the path to recovery from opioid addiction is different for every patient. A comprehensive pre-admission evaluation ensures that our outpatient rehab will meet the person’s individual needs and those who are interested in buprenorphine may be eligible for a phone intake. The results of the evaluation guide us to select the appropriate medication – methadone or Suboxone – and help determine the best type of therapy – individual, group or family.

Once a client’s withdrawal symptoms are managed with medication, they are better able to focus on identifying and treating the underlying causes of their addiction. The addiction therapists at Pennsville Treatment offer a variety of treatment modalities including motivational interviewing (MI), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and relapse prevention. With a medical doctor on staff, and Pennsalem Medical Center just minutes away, we are able to safely handle any emergencies that may arise.  

Since methadone and Suboxone are key to the success of our Pennsville drug rehab program, we maintain convenient dosing hours that provide the flexibility to meet work and family obligations. In addition, we accept many common New Jersey health insurance plans such as Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), United Healthcare, Medicaid and Medicare.
