Opioid Addiction Treatment

At Aegis Ontario, our approach helps you overcome opioid dependence through the combination of therapy and Medications for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) such as buprenorphine and methadone, which reduce cravings and manage withdrawal symptoms while our counselors work to uncover the root cause of your addiction.

Aegis outpatient programs allow you to break free from opioid addiction while maintaining your commitments to work, school, and family. Our flexible treatment allows you to integrate recovery into daily life through our core treatment services.

Clinical and Medical Assessment: Evaluates your physical and mental health, as well as your history of substance abuse, in order to build out a balanced and comprehensive treatment plan.
Education About Substance Use Disorders: Helps you understand your disease and the benefits of different treatment strategies, so you can make informed decisions about your recovery.
Patient-Centered Individual Counseling: Supportive, empathetic, and personalized relationships between patients and counselors is key to effective therapy, allowing clinicians to address your particular needs, goals, and experiences.
Group Counseling: Brings together other individuals facing similar struggles in order to provide direct, honest, and structured feedback on your thoughts, actions, and progress.
Psychoeducational Programming: Builds the skills and knowledge necessary to make positive change. Often explores topics such as self-care, mindfulness, and stress management.
Peer-Based Support Integration: Encourages understanding, respect, and empowerment among patients, to help them engage with the recovery process and avoid relapsing.
Telehealth Intakes and Counseling Sessions: Available only for suboxone patients, our telehealth services allow people living in remote areas to contact our doctors and counselors without traveling to our facility in Ontario.

What to Expect

When you first arrive at our facility in Ontario, CA, you’ll meet with a counselor who will evaluate your condition and work with you to develop a treatment plan. Once our assessment is complete, a typical day in an outpatient program may involve:

Prescribed medication administration
Individual therapy sessions with an assigned counselor
Group therapy sessions with other patients

Wonderful staff, clean facility, affordable payment options including full coverage from IEHP insurance. They will work with you based on what you can afford. The hours are the best in the nation from 5am to 630pm no other clinic has been open that long in the history of methadone clinics. THIS PLACE WILL SAVE YOUR LIFE! Please if your struggling with opioid addiction they can help with several different options even if you are not sure about methadone. You can learn more or try other options like Suboxone. They offer counseling and many other support resources. I can't say enough wonderful things about the staff. They are amazing people and will get to know you well and treat you kindly and with respect. They are fun people too. They also cater to the needs of parents with small children by offering a playroom for them and watching over your kids while you dose or attend your counseling sessions. This is by far the best methadone clinic you can go to. They open early ( 5 am ) the nurses and girls at the front ( and Adrian ) are amazing kind people that get you in and out of the clinic super fast. I’ve curtesy dosed at multiple other clinics in and out of California and I never realized how good I had it at Ontario Aegis. Other clinics move so sloooowwwww and it takes forever to dose with only a few people in front of you. Good counselors also ( shout out to my girl Linda )

This place is amazing. The staff is also amazing. Martha Diana Brittany Amy Nurse and Dr . They have been so helpful and accommodating. Never thought I could live without fet. And here I am living without having to use . I have a life where I implement God daily and grow my faith, have a support group to walk thru stuff with, and get to be a good mom and present in my daughters life. And this is just the beginning. This clinic is great. Been here for going on 3 years. If you want to get clean they will help you do it. If you don’t want to get clean then what are you doing here? I started off at a high dose and am now almost off of it. The people who have left negative reviews on here are the problem people that the staff has to deal with. My experience with Aegis is outstanding! The people that I have met have talked about sobriety and the people at the front desk do an excellent job especially on days when the computers are down and they have to deal with all the frustrations from the people waiting to get dose but they do there job extremely well and care about the patients there.
